Helion's fusion is to the sun's fusion like an internal combustion engine is to fire. Helion's method does not try to maintain a continuous fusion reaction, rather it initiates brief fusion pulses over and over at a rate of about 10 pulses per second. In the fusion portion of each pulse it generates electric energy directly from the moving charges in expanding plasma. Fascinating.
