My nephew Jorden and I had a great day. We drove to Middlesex Fells where we hiked and jogged 2-3 hrs. This included getting turned around and spending 30+ minutes to find our way back to the parking lot. Very nice trails, lots of friendly dogs out and about with their owners.
From there we drove to Nahant. We visited 40 Steps Beach, where we rock walked/climbed, dove off the cliffs and swam a bit in beautifully clear 60F salt water. On our way out we had nice conversations with Nahant resident and with a couple of guys who had been scuba diving and spear fishing at the beach.
Back in the city we chowed down on a late afternoon lunch at Boston's best dim sum. We then browsed briefly for used books at the Brattle Book Shop. A few blocks after we left the shop we realized we'd lost track of where we'd left my car. After 45 minutes of walking and searching we found it - with a gift from the Boston Police under one of the wipers - a bright orange $25 parking ticket (should I pay or should I go?)
A friend of his from New Zealand called and invited Jorden to go with him to an MIT frat party tonight. After dropping Jorden at 129 Saint Alphonsus Street I headed back to my motel in Bedford and am now looking for a movie.
Anticipating more good adventure tomorrow.

Movie Review Lucy (2104)
The movie I found last night was Lucy (see the trailer below).
This just-out-in-the-theaters science fiction flick has quite a few glaring shortcomings, including: too much time wasted on slow scenes with cardboard cut-out bad guys; too much unnecessary and non-value-added graphic violence; some bad science; and quite a few instances of bad acting and bad storyline.
But, it is a great movie none the less. Characters on several occasions act and interact perfectly - to stunning effect. There are several very well done and outstanding computer graphics and CGI scenes.

The movie includes very unique fast and thrilling car chase scene (see the movie clip video below).
The core ideas/concept/story are gigantic - too big to fit into any movie, and they are brought, albeit with several obvious basic cinematic and storytelling missteps, to a series of successive crashing stunning crescendos at the end.
Great entertainment! I'm ready to see it again.
