There have been recent big improvements to this most excellent website. Check out the interactive 10 day forecast graph: wunderground (enter your own zip code at the top of their webpage, then scroll down).
Run a cursor across the graphs and you'll see hourly data.
Click on the day and you'll get a breakdown of the precipitation forecast into 3 hr periods.
