Vuzix M100

Remember my post on Google Glass: I/O Headset Interface for Smartphones?

It looks like there could be some competition. It's called Vuzix M100. Vuzix is right from the start pitching this as a "hands-free display for smartphones".

From androidcentral: "The M100 will run a tailored version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich, will pair up with devices over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to support augmented reality (among other) apps, and project a WQVGA display to the eye, which works out to (about 432 x 240)."

A couple of other articles on the (concept?) device: from egadget; from ecouterre.
Someone else in the field? -  Microsoft recently filed for a patent re their own concepts for an augmented reality device that would be worn like a pair of glasses.   Image below is from the patent application published 11-22-2012 (No. 20120293548),
