All is good in Chamonix as of 8am today. Except it is raining. Frank and I will go out to a sporting goods store to rent my ice axe and crampons today. Dave is due in late this evening. While I was out hiking yesterday Frank found his passport and billfold.
Chamonix came alive last night with the start of the weekend. Live bands played on every block. By the time we headed back to the Hotel lArve the sidwalk restaurants were filled to overflowing.
